Artist / band bio
A band and vehicle for singer-songwriter / producer Duncan Allan’s eclectic collection of intuitively evocative and soulful songs. The band’s diverse influences thread the spectrum of alternative indie folk rock with elements of indie soul and vintage & baroque pop. Or as one band member once described, “folky shit”.
“Seasons Change” is the 1st single and the first peek behind an upcoming concept record - an EP of 6 songs chronicling chapters in a story of heart-wrenching loss, addiction and despair in the lives of two soulmates as their unshakable connection and recognition of spirit in each other instills renewed hope and growth, even in the wake of their greatest tragedy. Through chaos and senselessness lies an odyssey of discovery to resolve questions of life’s ultimate meaning. This is a story of “Love, Life and Tragic Comedy”.
In the end… just a bunch of songs we’re stoked to share, with a whole lot more in store. Like it, hate it, love or indifference, either way… much love, and have a great day!
