Once again he turns his gaze toward the meaning of life, but the delivery feels almost stream-of-consciousness, as if he’s pulling thoughts straight from somewhere deep and unfiltered in real time. And yet every line lands with the weight of something carefully considered and profoundly poetic. That tension between spontaneity and craft is what makes Fever Fields such a compelling listen. This is what a true songwriter sounds like. “Raw and Unfiltered: Some Demos I” is exactly what its title promises, and that’s precisely what makes it so special.” — Rock The Pigeon review by Ryan Cassata

Officially released across all major streaming platforms on Friday, February 28th, Gaslight is a haunting alternative/indie-folk track that lingers like a ghost in the room—poetic, raw, and hypnotic. With fragile vocals and a slow-burning intensity, it unravels the quiet ache of doubt, questioning what we believe and the love we’re willing to accept.

“Gaslight ,” is a sonic experience that leaves no one indifferent. With a melody that moves between melancholy and intensity, the song is a cry of resistance and a reflection of what it means to get lost in the crossfire of emotional manipulation. Duncan's voice cuts through each verse with brutal sincerity, while the musical arrangements build an atmosphere that envelops you and immerses you in its narrative. “Gaslight” is not just a song; it's a feeling, a story that many have experienced and that few have been able to tell with such precision..."Gaslight" is proof that music can still be intense, authentic, and deeply human.” - Freim TV

Feels like: Reaching the last page of a gigantic, bittersweet book – but shutting it just before the final line. Fear and hope entwined. Resolve and regret alchemized. The result: acceptance.” - Amanda Peukert

Artist / band bio

Fever Fields is the name artist & producer Duncan Allan uses to send his eclectic collection of heartfelt, evocative and cinematic songs out into the world. His unique ability to mix poetic lyricism with expansive, immersive arrangements, creates a listening experience that is both deeply personal and universally resonant, inviting listeners on a visceral odyssey that stays with them long after the final chord fades.

Fever Fields’ debut EP Love, Life and Tragic Comedy is an emotionally intense, beautifully crafted exploration of grief, love, resilience and meaning. The record centers around the lives of two soulmates after the devastating loss of their child, tracing their emotional journey through sorrow, healing, and rekindled hope. Each song is a chapter in this narrative, blending raw lyricism with haunting melodies and driving rhythms. The result is an intimate and poignant reflection on how love can survive even the darkest moments, while offering true meaning in an absurd world.

The first concept record is a deeply personal and powerful debut that weaves together rich, introspective storytelling with soaring instrumental arrangements, placing listeners in the shoes of our protagonists, as they’re transported through waves of love, loss, and the bittersweet beauty of existence. The record captures the fleeting nature of these moments, balancing vulnerability with strength, tenderness with raw intensity. Once the dust settles after levitating along to the last song, and after the last rooster crow rings out, a profound sense of acceptance and peace washes over, leaving you rejuvenated and hopeful. For we have so much more to discover, and so much more room to grow.
